Custom severity is now supported for incident and maintenance events. Customers who wish to use their own nomenclature for event severity instead of the standard StatusDashboard severities (e.g. Minor Performance Issue) may now do so by configuring custom severity levels in the new Event Configuration section of the StatusDashboard administration portal (Admin > Event > Event Configuration).
Custom impact analysis is now supported for incident and maintenance events. Customers who wish to rename this field (i.e. to something like 'Business Impact') may do so in the Event Configuration section of the StatusDashboard administration console.
Inbound Webhooks now support additional update features that allow customer to maintain the full timeline of an event when events are received in StatusDashboard from third party applications using inbound webhooks.
ServiceNow is now a supported integration with StatusDashboard. Incidents created in ServiceNow can now automatically create events in StatusDashboard, update status dashboards, and trigger notifications to subscribed StatusDashboard customers (all notification methods supported).
The Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Chat integrations have all been updated to support markdown formatting on all StatusDashboard fields that support markdown. The formatting of StatusDashboard event messages across all three integrations has also been harmonized for consistency. Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Chat all have different levels of support for the resultant HTML formatting so customers are encouraged to review our markdown support guide when utilizing markdown with these integrations.
The notification card in all incident and maintenance creation/update pages will now show a visual indicator (green) for any notification methods that are enabled before the event is saved. This should help alleviate confusion that some customers were having when updating events and managing multiple notification methods.
Markdown formatting is now supported on the event email greeting message for both incidents and scheduled maintenance events.
Unused event attributes can now be removed from all incident and maintenance events and templates in the StatusDashboard Event Configuration section of the StatusDashboard administration portal. For example, if your organization never uses the "Coordinator" field, you can now remove this field to streamline your event management processes.
A new status dashboard public API endpoint is now available that provides a listing, in simple JSON format, of only services that are currently impacted by an event.
Include or exclude a link back to the status dashboard under the status table
Include hyperlinks next to each impacted service that brings the user directly to an event listing on the status dashboard.
Specifically set the width, in pixels, of the widget
Enable widget debug logging to help troubleshoot integration issues.
CHANGED
All text fields in the StatusDashboard administration console that contain an option for the markdown editor now support markdown (e.g. HTML rendering on status dashboards and notifications) regardless of whether or not the markdown editor is enabled. Customers who wish to enable the markdown editor by default on all fields can do so by enabling the option in their user profile (Admin > User Icon > User Profile > Markdown).
