StatusDashboard administrative user permissions can be modified by navigating to User Accounts. User permissions are used to restrict certain features and functionality within the StatusDashboard platform.
User permissions are managed in two complementary ways:
- Role Based Permissions: Allow StatusDashboard administrators broad, role-based access to features and functionality within the StatusDashboard platform. For example, creating events, or managing status dashboards.
- Service Based Permissions (optional): When enabled, assign StatusDashboard administrators access to specific services, after which they can only manage services, events and status dashboards that contain the services for which they have access.

Service Based Permissions
Service based permissions must be enabled on a global account level before they can be assigned to user accounts. To enable service based permissions for your StatusDashboard account, navigate to Services > Service Options > Permissions.
Once enabled, service permissions can be assigned to individual user accounts by navigating to User Accounts, editing the relevant user account, and selecting the all services for which the user should have access in the Service Permissions card.
