When you create a new status dashboard within your StatusDashboard account, we provide you with a subdomain of the statusdashboard.com domain (e.g. acme.statusdashboard.com) from which to serve your status dashboard. Once the status dashboard is created, this URL will immediately be publicly available on the Internet. Any updates or changes that you make to your status dashboard page will immediately be available at this URL.
StatusDashboard subdomains may contain any alphanumeric characters as well as the '-' character and may be up to 25 characters in length. Subdomains must be globally unique within StatusDashboard, across all customer accounts.
The status dashboard subdomain may be modified at any time by navigating to Status Dashboards > Edit > Dashboard Options > Dashboard Update > Subdomain. Any changes made to the subdomain will be effective immediately.
If your organization requires the ability to serve your status dashboard over a custom domain alias (e.g. status.acme.com), you also have the option of setting up a custom domain alias in your DNS zone.
All status dashboard subdomains are served exclusively over SSL, including all sub pages.
